Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Snap Rides app. By creating an account or using the app you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Snap Rides
Snap Rides is a ride-hailing platform operated by Snap Rides Limited, connecting passengers and independent drivers in Juba, South Sudan. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Snap Rides. By registering you confirm you meet this requirement. Snap Rides reserves the right to verify your identity at any time.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone number and account. Do not share your account with others. Notify us immediately at support@snaprides.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. The Service
Snap Rides is a technology platform — we connect you with independent drivers. Drivers are not employees of Snap Rides. The quality and conduct of each trip is the responsibility of the individual driver. We do not guarantee availability of drivers at all times.
5. Fares & Payments
Fares are calculated based on distance, trip time, and current demand. A surge multiplier may apply during peak hours or high-demand periods — this is always shown before you confirm a trip.
Accepted payment methods:
- Cash — paid directly to the driver after the trip
- MTN Mobile Money
- Airtel Money
Snap Rides deducts a 10% platform commission from driver earnings. Riders pay the full displayed fare.
6. Cancellations
You may cancel a trip before a driver is assigned at no cost. Once a driver accepts your request, you have 2 minutes to cancel free of charge. Cancellations after this grace period may incur a fee, shown in the app at the time of cancellation.
7. Conduct
All users must:
- Treat drivers and other users with respect
- Not carry prohibited items, weapons, or illegal substances
- Wear a seatbelt where one is available
- Not engage in harassment, threats, or discrimination
Snap Rides may permanently ban users who violate these standards without a refund of any outstanding credit.
8. Ratings & Trust
After each trip, riders rate drivers and drivers rate riders on a 1–5 star scale. Consistently low ratings may result in reduced service access or account suspension. Ratings reflect real experiences and must be honest.
9. Safety
Snap Rides verifies driver identity and vehicle registration during onboarding. However, you use the service at your own risk. In an emergency, contact South Sudan Police Service: 777 or 0956 000 007. You can also use the in-app emergency contact feature.
10. Limitation of Liability
Snap Rides is not liable for accidents, injuries, property damage, delays, or losses occurring during or in connection with a trip. To the maximum extent permitted by South Sudan law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant trip.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Sudan. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and then through the competent courts of Juba, South Sudan.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you within the app before significant changes take effect. Continued use of Snap Rides after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
